We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who have a high school diploma or it's equivalent.

• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Experience : At least a minimum of 240 hours of experience as a teacher or assistant teacher in a group child care center or other approved setting.
• Preferably lives in West Bend, Wisconsin.
• Education : Completion of high school or its equivalent as determined by the Wisconsin department of public instruction. Have foundations in childcare, infant and toddler training and skills and strategies of a childcare teacher is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement daily lesson plans that promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment adhering to state licensing regulations.
• Supervise children during all activities, including playtime, meal times, and rest periods.
• Observe and document individual child progress to share with parents during conferences.
• Provide responsive caregiving, including assistance with diapering, toilet training, and meals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Wisconsin DPI-approved early childhood coursework (e.g., Introduction to the Child Care Profession).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare facility.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive Wisconsin biennial background check.

Nice To Haves

• CPR training
• Knowledge of Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS).
