Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department, ensuring safe and effective delivery and postpartum processes. Coordinates with healthcare team members to support optimal maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff and support team members.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly.

  Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Preferably possess experience in Labor and Delivery or a maternal-child health setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certifications required.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
