Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher specializing in assessments for a two-month contract assignment in the Acton, CA area. In this role, you'll be instrumental in providing expertise to support early childhood learners. Your focus will be on conducting detailed assessments, shaping individualized education decisions for PreK students.
You'll work on a focused caseload of 5-6 students classified as M/M PreK, tailoring your approach to each child’s needs. This short-term position is ideal for educators who thrive in flexible, part-time roles and want to make a direct impact in a collaborative school setting. Hours are likely to be minimal each week, providing good work-life balance while contributing your valued skills.
Key qualifications:
- Current CTC Certification in ECSE/M/M (must have)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with early childhood/PreK populations
- Strong assessment and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a compassionate approach to working with young learners
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and families to support student development
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for a targeted group of PreK students over a 30–60 day period
- Prepare professional evaluation reports and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Communicate assessment outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state/federal regulations and school protocols
