Job Description

This position supports the order desk by welcoming and assisting walk-in customers, explaining the layout of stone slabs in the showroom, and physically showing them the slabs. Additionally, it involves tracking all incoming and outgoing inventory through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) called Profit.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet walk-in customers, explaining the layout of the stone slabs in the showroom.

• Walk customers around and physically show them the slabs.

• Track all incoming and outgoing inventory via the WMS called Profit.

• Handle inventory, receiving incoming and outbound trucks.

• Receive load sheets and perform data entry into the computer.

• Read and interpret Excel sheets.

• Keep track of inventory movement and locations.

• Create and move inventory in the Profit system.

• Assist at the order desk with no heavy lifting required.

• Answer phones and provide customer service.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of inventory or order desk experience.

• 1+ year of computer experience.

• Willingness and ability to answer phones and greet customers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with data entry and inventory management.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Work Environment

Work within a national distributor of natural and manufactured stone in a warehouse environment. Hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, eventually shifting to 6 AM to 4 PM with rotating Saturday shifts from 9 AM to 1 PM every third Saturday. Closed on Sundays and holidays. Enjoy access to water, ice, Gatorade, and coffee, and adhere to a dress code of steel-toed shoes, work jeans, and a plain t-shirt. No heavy lifting is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
