Optometric Technician - Join Our Eye Care TeamClayton N.C.We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our patient-focused eye care team. In this role, you'll work closely with optometrists and staff to deliver an exceptional experience from pre-testing through to patient education.If you are passionate about healthcare, enjoy working with people, and are eager to grow in the field of optometry, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Greet and prepare patients for their eye examsPerform pre-testing procedures (autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, etc.)Record patient medical history and maintain accurate electronic health recordsAssist optometrists during examinations as neededEducate patients on contact lens care and handlingMaintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and equipmentSupport administrative or optical functions as requiredQualifications:Previous experience in an optometric or healthcare setting preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) is an assetWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer:Competitive compensationOn-the-job training and development opportunitiesMedical and vision care benefitsSupportive and team-oriented work cultureOpportunities for career growth within the practice
