Position: Front Desk / Security Concierge Officer

Location: Brickell, Miami, FL

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

About SMI Security:

SMI Security is seeking an outgoing, professional, and customer-service-oriented individual to join our team at a prestigious commercial building in the Brickell area. This position plays an important role in creating a positive first impression for the property.

The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable, dependable, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of tenants, guests, vendors, employees, and building management.

As the first point of contact for many people entering the building, you will represent both SMI Security and the property. A strong customer-service mindset, professional appearance, and positive attitude are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, guests, vendors, and building employees.
• Greet and acknowledge all tenants and guests in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
• Assist tenants and visitors with general questions and direct them to the appropriate location or department.
• Monitor and control access to the building in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify visitors, vendors, contractors, and other authorized personnel as required.
• Maintain awareness of activity within the lobby and surrounding areas.
• Work closely with the Building Security Supervisor and property management team.
• Assist with visitor management and building access procedures.
• Respond professionally to tenant and guest concerns and notify the appropriate supervisor when additional assistance is required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
• Follow all SMI Security and property policies, procedures, and post orders.
• Complete required daily logs, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Report unusual activity, safety concerns, maintenance issues, or security incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding building operations, tenants, employees, and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by SMI management or the Building Security Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the officer to be on their feet for extended periods of time . Candidates must be comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift while maintaining a professional appearance and attentive presence.

The position may require:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Walking throughout the building lobby and designated areas.
• Maintaining constant awareness of the surrounding environment.
• Occasional sitting, bending, reaching, and other routine physical activities associated with the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Florida Class D Security License .
• Previous security, concierge, front desk, hospitality, customer service, or commercial building experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor required.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must have the ability to work independently while also working effectively with the Building Security Supervisor and property management team.
• Must be comfortable interacting with tenants, executives, guests, vendors, and the general public.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
• Must demonstrate good judgment and professionalism.
• Must be able to pass SMI's hiring and onboarding requirements.
