Registered Nurse - PACU/Recovery Areas

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU/Recovery areas. This position offers the opportunity to work with both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as in the surgery center and anesthesia clinic. Join our dynamic team in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in PACU, Surgery Center, and Anesthesia Clinic.
• Monitor patients' recovery and respond to their needs effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform assessments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic health records.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule of 12-hour days, including shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and possible 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There is no call required for this role.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Experience in PACU or similar recovery area preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
