Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes for patients primarily within the geriatric population.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical and Emergency Department setting.Assist in the assessment and management of patients, including those with geriatric-specific needs such as dementia and stroke.Contribute to patient rehabilitation post-surgery and manage general care for a diverse patient population.Work collaboratively within a team of Registered Nurses and support staff, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1.Utilize EPIC or equivalent EMR for patient documentation and communication.Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing training as required.QualificationsCurrent LPN license in the state of North Dakota.BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.Comfortable working with geriatric patients and understanding their unique healthcare needs.Previous travel nursing experience is not required but is preferred.Additional InformationShift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.Holiday Requirement: Alternating holidays.Self-scheduling is allowed, with block scheduling available.There is no on-call or standby requirement.Orientation will consist of 3 shifts to ensure a thorough understanding of unit protocols.Scrubs will be provided, with no specific color requirements.LocationThis position is located in a rural setting, serving a critical access hospital with a capacity of 25 beds, allowing for close-knit care and a supportive work environment.Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients through compassionate and professional nursing care.
