Build and Shape Procurement in a Growing US Business

This is an opportunity to join a global business services organization at an exciting stage in the development of its US procurement capability .

Operating as part of an established international procurement function, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how Procurement operates across the US - building stronger stakeholder relationships, developing strategic supplier partnerships and moving the function beyond transactional purchasing towards a more commercially focused, value-led model.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the US and internationally, taking ownership of sourcing and supplier activity across a broad portfolio of indirect categories.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on strategic sourcing role with genuine breadth.

You'll lead end-to-end procurement activity across categories including IT, Professional Services, BPO, Facilities and HR Services , while helping the wider business develop a more strategic approach to procurement and supplier management.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading complex RFI, RFP and RFQ processes from initial requirement through negotiation and award.
• Taking ownership of selected indirect procurement categories and maintaining associated category plans.
• Delivering measurable commercial value through cost savings, cost avoidance, demand management and contract optimization .
• Leading commercial negotiations, supplier reviews and contract renewals.
• Managing strategic supplier relationships against agreed KPIs and SLAs .
• Identifying opportunities within supplier markets and translating them into commercial initiatives.
• Partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT, HR and other corporate functions .
• Challenging demand and specifications to ensure the business achieves the right commercial outcome.
• Supporting the implementation of regional and global category strategies within the US.
• Identifying and mitigating supplier and commercial risk.
• Helping continuously improve procurement processes, governance, reporting and tools.
• Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to stakeholders across the organization.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced procurement professional who combines strong strategic sourcing capability with the confidence to operate autonomously in a growing procurement environment.

You'll ideally bring:

• 7+ years' Procurement / Strategic Sourcing experience.
• Strong experience across Indirect Procurement .
• Experience within a business services, professional services or outsourcing environment would be particularly relevant.
• A demonstrable track record of delivering commercial savings and measurable value .
• Strong supplier relationship and contract management experience.
• Excellent commercial negotiation skills.
• A solid understanding of sourcing methodologies and commercial contract structures.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
• Experience working within a matrixed, international or global organization would be advantageous.
• A commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action.
• The confidence to work autonomously and take ownership of procurement initiatives from start to finish.
