And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Perform integration and test activities comprising of field support of on-going project activities. Perform Field Change modification to existing Designs as needed; Perform field troubleshooting, maintenance in CBTC equipment such as vehicle and wayside systems, and other external tasks related to test documentation and formalization of reports.Key Accountabilities Performs on-site installation and maintenance of Non- CBTC and CBTC equipment for wayside systemsInitiates work process procedures as per customer processIdentify problems detected during tests and corrects them as requiredSupports Troubleshooting and repair CBTC equipment as requiredProvides support of test Carborne and Wayside activities and the planning of field activitiesProvides technical support in all operational matters in the functionality of wayside subsystemsWorks with diverse departments and becomes involved in all phases of integration, commissioning and support • Promotes customer relations / company credibilityInvestigate/Troubleshoot system anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation and interaction with development departmentsProvide summaries and detailing of test activities in the form of both informal and formal test reportsKey Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignmentsExcellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skillsDemonstrated fluency and understanding/comprehension in oral and written EnglishField experience in a rail transit installation, test or support environment or similar technology application is of significanceExperience in support of field activitiesStrong process orientation and discipline to ensure compliance with both Corporate and Customer proceduresCritical thinking, able to identify and implement better efficiencies and process improvementsEffective communication skills to interact professionally with all levels inside and outside the organization.Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in prioritiesPreferred Qualifications Knowledge of automatic train control systems concepts and principles as well as current existing signaling standardsWorking knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project siteExperience in installation and testing of train control systemsExperience in customer interaction and adapting of their processesWorking knowledge of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) products with respect to installation support and testing a strong assetExperience in deploying fixed block signaling systems a strong assetTypically 1-2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented aboveThe Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:Elective Health, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA and Well-Being plans401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with a company match Company paid holidays and vacation daysCompany provided Life Insurance, AD&D, Disability, and Employee Assistance PlanEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesIf you need a reasonable accommodation to apply for a job at Hitachi, please send the nature of request and contact information to View email address on click.appcast.io other than accommodation requests will not be responded to.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
