Dockworker/Forklift Operator (SAT)

Xgs Warehouse DockworkersXGS warehouse dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or by using a pallet jack/forklift, sorting product, and ensuring that trailers are properly and accurately loaded. This position includes using a barcode scanner and helps to maintain the service center dock as neat and orderly.Monday-Friday, 12AM Start Time!$17.77 Hourly!ResponsibilitiesOffloading delivery trucks transporting merchandise into the warehouseMay load or unload by hand, or with freight handling tools such as lift truck, pallet jack, or side cartUse scanners to read bar codes on productsScan barcode on freight & ensure each freight movement to rack, floor or loading doorView prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasksVerify shipping information from the scan unit to ensure freight is labeled to go to the correct destinationReceive and put away inventoryConfirming merchandise information matches that of the work orderAttach barcodes to freight for tracking and routingFinalizing the work order and updating the databaseInspecting the merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularitiesEnsure product meets quality requirementsReport overage, shortages, and damages according to operating proceduresSort and segregate freight by destinationVerify freight countsDock clean-up as neededMay include other duties as assigned by ManagementQualifications6 months experiencePrevious experience as a fulfillment associateKnowledge of warehousing procedures an advantageAbility to read and interpret written work ordersStrong attention to detail18 years oldMeet minimum hiring criteriaPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to communicate verbally and in writingExperience operating lift truck, pallet jack, or side desiredFrequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds and push up to 50 poundsOccasionally climb stairsFrequently stoop, kneel or crouchENVIRONMENTMost work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required.
