Key Qualifications:

• Valid EC-12 Special Education (SPED) teaching certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills for teaming with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Flexible, proactive, and organized approach to classroom management
• Excellent communication skills and an encouraging attitude

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with varying disabilities
• Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to promote meaningful participation and success
• Assess student progress, track achievements, and maintain accurate documentation
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review IEPs
• Foster a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment
• Engage in parent meetings and effectively communicate student progress
