Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 3rd Floor Overflow unit, requiring at least one year of experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a 3rd Floor Overflow/Medicine Specialty unit
• Med/Surg and step-down patient population with varying levels of acuity
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Floating to any area of the hospital is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and step-down experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, documentation, medication administration, and IV/blood product management
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
