EVS Manager

Environmental Services Manager Utilizes management criteria to maintain the cleanliness of the nursing home and hospital. Regulatory requirements for the hospital and nursing home. Demonstrates effective implementation of management skills. Assures the rights of patient/residents are protected in the facilities. Purchases Department Supplies. Provide leadership to staff. Manage schedules. Conduct education sessions for staff. Education/Experience: High school graduate or GED preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the methods and procedures for cleaning and disinfecting patients rooms, ancillary room, general areas of the hospital and floor maintenance. Must be able to demonstrate and teach proper housekeeping and floor maintenance procedures including the use of buffers, floor stripping machines, vacuum cleaners, mops, buckets and wringers. Must be able to teach basic safety procedures. Must have good organizational, motivational and leadership abilities.
