Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and X-ray equipment to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to IPC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process inspections by frequently examining the visual attributes of each product, such as discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, and delamination.

• Record data related to products or performance as necessary for management.

• Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping floors, picking up stray molded parts, and cleaning molding presses and any oil or water spills.

• Operate AOI, SPI, and X-ray equipment to detect defects such as soldering issues and misaligned components.

• Sort and rework products that do not meet customer requirements, ensuring proper documentation and labeling to identify the status of non-conforming products.

Essential Skills

• Experience in inspection and quality control.

• Knowledge of PC board and IPC 610 standards.

• Ability to inspect PC board components using a microscope.

• Available for all shifts as the site is ramping up.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $27.03/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
