Clear Skies Therapy LLC is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team full-time. Located in Smithfield, Virginia, this position involves providing exceptional physical therapy services directly to patients in a home care setting. Work Environment

This full-time role is primarily onsite, allowing for face-to-face interaction with patients in their homes. Our Physical Therapists often work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations, and develop individualized treatment plans based on the physician's orders.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions designed to improve mobility and strength.
• Keep accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries using professional terminology to support medical necessity.
• Provide direction and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, ensuring the quality of care provided to patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including case managers and referring physicians, to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless care transitions.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education about therapeutic exercises and strategies for injury prevention and healthy aging.
• Advise management on potential improvements in patient care practices and strategies to maintain high productivity standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or those experiencing chronic pain or mobility limitations due to conditions such as arthritis, stroke, or neurological disorders. Your role will be pivotal in helping patients regain independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with team members and patient education.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing for documentation and scheduling purposes.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques and patient populations.
• Experience working in home health or community settings is a plus, contributing to your effectiveness in providing personalized care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to base salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
