Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center with a busy and fast-paced environment. The role requires experienced nurses capable of managing a wide variety of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients with diverse medical conditions.

Job Details:

• Position: Emergency Room Nurse
• Location: Sheboygan, Wisconsin
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), ENPC (preferred), TNCC (preferred)
• Education & Experience: Certified in BLS, ACLS, NIB, PALS, ENPC (preferred), TNCC (preferred); Minimum of 3 years of strong Emergency Department experience; Additional qualifications include hands-on skills in stroke, trauma, splinting, pediatric experience, chest tubes, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and line management (central lines)
• Patient Ratios: Routine days 1:3, with flexibility to 1:4 or 1:5 during high census; Critical care nurses may maintain a 1:2 ratio
• Support on the Unit: ED Techs, HUC (Triage Tech), Phlebotomy, ED Case Manager, Physical Therapy, Intake Counselor, Public Safety, RT, Hospitalist, House Supervisor, Surge Team, Forensic team, and other support staff, all available 24/7
• Charting System & Equipment: EPIC electronic health record system and bedside monitors
• Float: Assist other units with IVs, EKG, paperwork, and consults as needed; rarely assist outside the ED and will not be assigned patients when floated outside of the department; no visiting triage unless trained
• Orientation: First day involves hospital tour and online modules including EPIC training; second and third days involve unit orientation based on comfort level
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is flexible but must appear professional; free parking available; fast-paced, high acuity environment with utilization at 25%; must be available for two on-call shifts per week, including nights and evenings; approval for up to 7 days off; additional time off requests must be emailed for approval
• Special Requirements: Must be trained in forensic procedures when needed, and maintain a professional appearance.
