Job TitleReceptionist/ClericalKey ResponsibilitiesStart your day in Locust Valley and finish in Mineola. This position offers the opportunity to support and collaborate with both locations.Answer incoming phone calls and take accurate messagesAssist sales staff with filing and administrative tasksCheck and communicate the status of customer ordersMake change and support counter sales transactionsSupport sales transactions and credit approval processesProvide administrative and operational support to managementReceive and process all special-order hardwareBill out and receive inventory transfersSet up and process Return to Vendor (RTV) transactionsReceive and verify purchase orders (POs)Perform hands-on bookkeeping and recordkeeping dutiesEnsure accurate documentation and timely processing of transactionsMaintain organized records and support daily branch operationsQualificationsHighly organized with strong attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsReliable, dependable, and eager to learnBookkeeping experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong customer service skillsIndustry experience is a plusWeekend availability requiredExperience with an ERP System a plusOverviewWe are a large corporate industry leader in building supplies employing over 800 friendly people on Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $20.00 - $24.00.
