About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: RN License Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred Description: Emergency Department RN position available for Night shifts. Must work every other weekend, totaling 36 hours. The unit consists of a 65-bed Emergency Department with pod-based design. There is a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area. The average census is 230 visits per day. Clinical staff to patient ratio is 1:4. Required skills include assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, and cardiac monitoring. Additionally, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education are necessary. Experience with EMR systems such as EPIC ASAP is essential. Floating to other areas may be required, with low rotation frequency. Rotating shifts may also be needed for day rotate when requested, but the night position does not rotate.
