A premier Sarasota firm is seeking a Land Use Attorney with 5+ years of substantive experience to support a busy and sophisticated real estate and development practice. No book of business required. The right candidate will bring technical depth and a desire to work on impactful Florida development matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise developers, landowners, and businesses on zoning, comprehensive planning, permitting, and entitlement matters
• Represent clients before local government boards, planning commissions, and administrative agencies
• Draft and negotiate development agreements, easements, and related land use instruments
• Conduct due diligence and provide regulatory guidance for acquisitions, dispositions, and project development
• Collaborate with real estate, corporate, and litigation attorneys on complex multi-disciplinary matters

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of land use, zoning, and permitting experience
• Florida Bar admission or eligibility for admission
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and writing skills
• Experience appearing before municipal and county governing bodies preferred
