Junior Software Engineer

Belay Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join our intel team.  This role will be on a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs. Project management is done using feature driven development. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to help drive system design. The candidate will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications
• Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap
• Resolve challenging software engineering design problems
• Interact with the customer to resolve issues and propose new features
• Support testing and deployment of production applications

Candidates should have the following qualifications: 

• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
• Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with Java 
• Experience with RESTful web applications
• Experience with Spring Boot 
• Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology 
• Experience with Automated testing

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:

• Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js)
• Experience with Kafka
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Linux administration
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000
