Maintenance Shop Diesel Mechanic C

Position Summary With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance TechnicianC performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. This position requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair. The role includes maintaining and repairing highly intricate and powerful machinery, receiving training on new technologies and equipment, working a regular shift in a stable industry, and being recognized for exceptional performance. Principal Responsibilities Maintain a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions. Perform vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments, oil changes and fluid replenishment, adjustments and light repairs including tire changes. Conduct basic electrical work such as light changes. Conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and malfunctions using a variety of tools. Complete applicable company training programs. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned or apparent. Qualifications Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required. 1–3 years of experience. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
