Our pediatric teams play an important role in creating positive healthcare experiences for children and their families by providing compassionate, accessible, and high-quality care to the communities we serve.If you are a compassionate Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children, collaborating with a dedicated care team, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families, we encourage you to apply.How You'll Support Our Pediatric TeamAs a Pediatric Medical Assistant, your primary responsibilities include:Preparing patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and screenings.Assisting pediatric providers during examinations and procedures.Administering childhood immunizations, medications, and injections.Performing vision (Snellen) and hearing screenings.Educating parents on vaccines, preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.Reviewing and interpreting immunization records while supporting CAIR and VFC guidelines.Coordinating referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient care.Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record.Preparing laboratory specimens and maintaining exam rooms.Supporting patient flow by assisting with discharge, scheduling, and other clinical operations.Working collaboratively across all pediatric roles, including vaccines, discharge, and float assignments.Helping create a welcoming, efficient, and family-centered environment.Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalency.Must have completed a Medical Assistant program.Bilingual, English and Spanish language skills.Valid CPR Certification or willing to complete a course prior to hire.Minimum one year experience as a medical assistant in an outpatient clinic.Certification as a medical assistant in the State of California.Certification through the California Family Health Council (CFHC) Basic Health Worker course, recommended.Committed to providing compassionate, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.Benefits That Support YouGenerous PTO Accrual rate of 7.08 hours per pay period (26 pay periods per year).9 Paid Holidays.40 hours of paid Jury Duty time per year.Medical, Dental, & Vision insurance (PPO option available).Health Insurance subsidy.Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care, & Transportation).Employer-Sponsored life insurance & long term disability.30 covered visits for Chiropractic or Acupuncture visits.401k retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution.Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement.Parking or Public Transportation Reimbursement.Mileage reimbursement for eligible business-related travel.Join an organization where your skills are valued, your professional growth is encouraged, and your work has a lasting impact on the health of children and families.
