Location: The Learning Experience - Canton, MI

Pay: $16-$19 per hour (based on credentials and experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Infant Lead Teacher - Early Learning Classroom

The Learning Experience - Canton is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Lead Teacher to guide our infant classroom and support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing and responsive environment where infants feel safe, supported, and engaged through consistent routines, sensory exploration, and positive teacher-child relationships.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys building strong connections with families while leading a warm and organized infant classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision
• Implement developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Observe and support developmental milestones and early communication skills
• Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
• Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and developmental progress
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience required
• CDA preferred but not required
• Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
• Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented approach
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
