Manager, Public Policy - Product Safety

Overview Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy, to develop and execute the company's public policy efforts related to product safety. You will be responsible for developing and executing government affairs advocacy objectives and political priorities for Amazon on issues related to product safety at the federal level. You will represent Amazon before Congress and other relevant federal agencies, including the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Responsibilities Develop and execute public policy and advocacy strategy related to product safety at the federal level in alignment with business priorities. Collaborate with Public Policy team, business units, and legal department to ensure alignment between core business priorities and public policy goals. Coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and initiatives in concert with business objectives. Assess potential government activities, develop mitigation or enhancement strategies and positions, and educate legislators and agency officials on product safety issues. Facilitate high-level meetings with executives and key stakeholders, including congressional, regulatory, and industry partners, to promote public policy objectives. Staff corporate membership opportunities in industry associations and political organizations as appropriate. Manage use of outside consultants as needed. Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
