As our Payroll Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in our accounting operations, working closely with our Controller. You'll start by mastering key tasks, with the opportunity to take on more technical responsibilities as you excel. Your contributions will be vital to keeping our team running smoothly.

YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

• Accurately processing payroll for multi-state company for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Processing prevailing wage payroll and related compliance paperwork.
• Reviewing timecards for accuracy and required approvals.
• Staying up to date on all payroll laws, including prevailing wage.
• Keeping up to date on all RRM policies that concern payroll and timekeeping.
• Reconciling all payroll records with accounting system and corresponding third party systems.
• Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting regarding employees and payroll.
• Responsible for payroll reporting in compliance with state and federal laws.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Minimum four (4) years of experience.
• Associates Degree in Accounting.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly analyze problems and respond with effective solutions.

ABOVE & BEYOND:

• Knowledge of Paylocity Software.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage.
• Experience using Unanet.

COMPENSATION:

The hiring range for this role is targeted at $29.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
