Consulting Engineer

As a Consulting Engineer, you will help drive the effort to transform our current and future network architecture for our customers. You will work directly with our customers and gain direct experience and exposure into their networks. You will collaborate on a variety of projects that have a real impact on the lives of Veterans and military service members. We will value your ideas and perspective on how to get things done. You will improve on network infrastructures and help to deliver business solutions and technology solutions from data, security, mobility, and cloud.

Candidate will be supporting systems where our Network Management System (NMS) is deployed. While specific knowledge of our NMS, Zenoss, is not required, chosen candidate should expect to help support this software as part of overall job duties.

Engineer must have strong technical competence, demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to communicate with team members, business units, program managers, sales teams, and Government representatives as required. The Engineer must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team (including remote members).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a current U.S. Government DOD TS/SCI with CI Poly cleared Linux Systems Admin/Engineer
• 5 years relevant experience in Cisco networking (combination of Enterprise Networking, Security, Data Center or Collaboration)
• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or equivalent skills (Enterprise Networking, Security, Data Center or Collaboration)
• Experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls

Preferred Qualifications:

• Be experienced delivering Cisco standard methodologies within our customer's infrastructure.
• Ability to provide high-level crisis management through anticipation of issues, problems or events and actively resolving them with the Customer and Partners.
• Leverage good communication, consulting and customer relationship skills to create productive collaborations.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Ability to build/maintain/administer virtual servers
