Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist-MSW

Description Acts as staff supervisor for the speech therapist team. Maintain a daily caseload of patients and supervises staff on complex cases. Responsibilities

1. Maintains a patient caseload of at least 5 patients per day
2. Evaluates patients according to departmental standards
3. Counsels patients and/or families according to departmental standards
4. Completes patient reports according to departmental formats and within specified time frames
5. Completes daily and monthly statistics and billing records
6. Supervises staff speech therapists for difficult cases
7. Evaluates those cases that exceed the competencies of the staff therapists
8. Prepares and executes in-service program for hospital staff
9. Acts as liaison between the Speech Department and the Head and Neck Cancer Center
10. Coordinates swallowing services for the ALS Center
11. Establishes policies and procedures for swallowing evaluation and treatment services

Qualifications Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology 5 Years clinical experience, including 3 years of supervision Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70.62 - $70.62 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
