Key responsibilities will include assisting the AICP program manager and coordinator with scheduling and facilitating AICP activities, including consultations under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), quarterly subcommittee meetings, semi-annual field visits, and an annual multi-day meeting. The AICP Assistant will complete tasks related to event planning, correspondence tracking, scheduling, writing, editing, workshop/meeting setup, field visit logistics, and the like. The Assistant may also assist with data entry, electronic filing, and other office tasks.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university.* Event planning experience.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills.* Excellent organizational skills.* Skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe programs.* Ability to work independently.* Ability to participate in field visits to remote locations in varying weather conditions.**Preferred Qualifications (optional)*** Education or training in Indigenous Studies, Archaeology, Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, and/or National Historic Preservation Act.* Experience working with tribes in the Mojave Desert/Great Basin region.* Experience working within the Nevada System of Higher Education.* Document editing experience.* ArcGIS Pro experience.## HOURS / PAYThe position is part-time and onsite, averaging a minimum of 18 hours per week. Days and times are negotiable.
