Sr. Java Developer (FTE / Hybrid / Onsite Interview Preferred) King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, United States. Responsibilities This position requires a foundation in software development knowledge and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. Candidates should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. They should be a strong ‘utility’ type programmer capable of switching context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations, and other platform personnel. Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process. Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensure the functionality matches the requirements. Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle, coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross‑work team members. Provide technical support to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs. Interact with architects, technical leads, team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues. Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating development and testing processes. Demonstrate a commitment to quality by writing unit tests with JUnit and Mockito. Proficiency in analysis, design, build, and deployment of Java applications and microservices, and a desire to continue learning new technologies and skills. Good to Have: Experience with container‑based deployments such as Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, Vagrant. Understand asynchronous and synchronous messaging. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, MDBs. Work experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Linux/UNIX shell programming, Python (plus). Work experience in developing web applications with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap (plus). A minimum of 2 years’ work experience within the financial services industry (banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data, and investment processing) is preferred. Qualifications BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an applicable programming area of study. 5+ years of prior work experience with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation. 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot. 5+ years of experience in database access methods and SQL constructs. 3+ years of experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Git, Terraform. Salary and Benefits Starting pay range: $96,800 to $145,200 for U.S.-based positions. Compensation may include incentive based on individual and/or company performance.
