General Production WorkerJoin a leading manufacturer specializing in the production of high-quality automotive hoses and parts. Our full-cycle manufacturing plant produces PTFE tubes and stainless-steel braided hoses from raw materials, serving a wide range of industries including automotive, commercial, and industrial sectors.ResponsibilitiesPaste Extrusion: Create tubing from Teflon powder by mixing and blending materials, adding petroleum lube, and forming billets.Billets/Extrusion: Operate machinery to form billets into tubes, ensuring accurate dimensions, and conducting pressure tests.Winding/Braiding: Attach spools to machines, set tension on wires, and conduct periodic quality checks.Hose Processing: Manage finished reels, operate wash tanks, and perform cleaning on machines and oil filtration systems.Twister: Create components for braiding/winding using industrial crimpers and swedgers.EWald/Flash Cut: Prepare hoses for shipping by cutting to length and packaging.Melt Extrusion: Process large hoses with silicone jackets, ensuring quality checks and shipping readiness.Post Sinter: Strengthen tubing for aerospace applications by recooking and preparing for hose processing.Pressure Tank: Conduct pressure testing and reinforce tubing with metal layers for high-impact applications.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of machine operation and manufacturing experience.Mathematical skills with the ability to measure accurately.Good work history with stable employment.Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanics.Transferable manufacturing or industrial experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical and math aptitude.Desire to work in manufacturing.Entry-level candidates with a solid work history are welcome.Why Work Here?Experience growth and job stability at a company projected to expand by 30% in the coming year. Dress comfortably in jeans and t-shirts, with uniforms provided upon permanent employment. Training may occur on the 1st shift, with regular schedules as follows: Monday-Friday: 1st shift - 6:00am-2:00pm, 2nd shift - 2:00pm-10:00pm; Sunday-Thursday: 3rd shift - 10:00pm-6:00am.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enfield, CT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.23/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
