ASCP Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) | RN - Cath Lab Specialist

This role involves preparing patients and procedure rooms, circulating during all cardiovascular procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. Essential Functions

• Deliver direct patient care and support as an integral part of the healthcare team.
• Monitor and document patients' physical, mental, and emotional status, reporting any changes promptly.
• Assist in circulating for all invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information.
• Serve a patient population ranging from adults to geriatric individuals.
• For RNs: provide procedural sedation according to facility policies.
• Manage procedure time-outs and ensure quality assistance with cardiovascular interventions.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for all procedures.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: At least one year of experience in a catheterization lab.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current licensure as a radiology technologist or Registered Nurse in the relevant state.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC prior to start.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.

Special Requirements

• Availability for regular and holiday on-call shifts with a 30-minute response time.
