Digital Marketing Associate Department/Program: Marketing and Communications Reports to: Director of Solutions Marketing Location: Remote (Alexandria, VA) FLSA Status: Exempt About the National Head Start Association The National Head Start Association unites, inspires, and supports the Head Start field as a leader in early childhood development and education. NHSA is an untiring voice for approximately 750,000 children in rural, urban, and suburban communities across all states --- plus 250,000 staff and 1,600 Head Start grant recipients in the U.S. Role Overview NHSA is hiring an experienced Digital Marketing Associate to take ownership of the organizations day-to-day digital marketing operations. This is a hands‑on execution role with broad responsibility for how content gets distributed and how NHSAs marketing technology stack runs. This position is not the primary content creator, but it owns everything that happens after content is created— scheduling, deploying, quality‑checking, measuring, and continuously improving performance across every channel NHSA uses. Scope of Work and Core Responsibilities HubSpot Administration Managing the CRM day to day, including creating and updating contact records. Building, testing, scheduling, and deploying email campaigns and automated workflows. Building and maintaining audience segments. Setting up campaign tracking, UTM parameters, and reporting. Keeping contact data clean and compliant. Monitoring deliverability and list health. WordPress Website Maintenance Publishing content updates and building new pages. Handling routine maintenance including plugin, theme, and core updates. Identifying and implementing UX improvements. Keeping on-page SEO in order. Maintaining forms and lead capture tools. Troubleshooting site issues. Social Media Marketing Scheduling and publishing posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube. Executing the content calendar. Prepping assets for each platform. Monitoring social channels and routing incoming messages. Tracking channel performance and reporting. General Operations Operating new tools as theyre added to the stack. Supporting campaigns, events, and special initiatives. Collaborating across teams to execute distribution plans. Required Qualifications 3 or more years of hands‑on digital marketing experience. Expertise in administering HubSpot. Proven ability to move quickly and execute with high accuracy. Strong working knowledge of WordPress. Experience running social media channels. Fluency with GA4. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Skills HubSpot certifications. Experience with Social Press Kit, VideoAsk, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Head Start or nonprofit advocacy.
