The role involves troubleshooting complex database issues, implementing backup and recovery strategies, managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the VP of College Computing.### Key qualifications* Strong proficiency in SQL database design and administration including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning* Experience as a senior SQL Server DBA in an enterprise production environment with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and newer* Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Always On, Log Shipping, and Geo-clustering* Knowledge of identity, security, compliance, and Zero Trust concepts within enterprise infrastructure* Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages* Pass CJIS Level 4 and FBI and Virginia State Police background check
