Network Technician 1 of 1

We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, testing, and maintenance of data, voice, and video communications equipment, as well as maintaining the site s physical networInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks and data communications equipment such as switches and routers. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Wireless LAN equipment such as Wireless Controllers and Access Points. Assists in maintaining and repairing network operating systems, the network cabling infrastructure, and other telecom related components. Helping existing LAN cabling and network infrastructure: Maintains drawings of drops in the manufacturing floor and office areas. Maintains an inventory of necessary LAN cables and network equipment. Maintains IDF/MDF and telecom closets organized and clean. Plans network installations by studying customer requests, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation on the site; preparing an installation diagram. Coordinate LAN cabling installation with third party vendor or internal facilities resources. Repair/Terminates network UTP cables (Cat5e/Cat6) as needed. Ensures the network and all related equipment are in working order. Works with IT support personnel to explore and solve network-related problems reported by end-users or thru proactive monitoring tools alerts. Help IT Support personnel on desk side hardware moves, additions, and changes Secures network systems by enforcing corporate policies and applying IT best practices standards. May provides backup help to the telecommunications operations. Key Qualifications & Experience Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise routing, switching, and Wi-Fi equipment. Practical knowledge of structured cabling, copper termination (Cat5e/Cat6), and MDF/IDF cable management standards. Experience supporting network operations in a mixed environment (office and light industrial/manufacturing setting preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with network monitoring systems. Ability to lift network hardware and maneuver through technical rooms and floor layouts.
