Registered Nurse - Day Shift - 7am -7pm - Behavioral Health

Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Day Shift West Oaks Hospital, a 176-bed acute care facility with a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency, offers a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents, and adults. We provide inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient care. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The RN will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Charge Nurse for adults, adolescents, children, and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. The RN will use the nursing process to manage the plan of care for each patient based on appropriate standards, policies and procedures. The RN will also delegate patient care duties to other members of the nursing team to assure optimal patient outcomes. The RN receives support in professional development to enhance practice and the profession. Licensure and certification Required: Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. Experience Required: None. Preferred: Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
