You’ll play a pivotal part in fostering student success by addressing personal, behavioral, and psychological issues that impact academic performance.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of three years practicing as a social worker in a school setting
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Colorado Special Service Provider license for School Social Worker (birth through age 21)
• Ability to navigate sensitive student concerns with empathy and confidentiality
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators
• Completion of district-mandated background check and fingerprinting before assignment

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group mental health services supporting academic achievement and emotional wellbeing
• Triage, assess, and identify areas where students need counseling or referrals to outside agencies
• Address issues related to attendance, behavioral challenges, or distress, offering strategic interventions and resources
• Maintain accurate case files, observations, and progress reports to monitor and track student needs and patterns
• Conduct workshops, build treatment plans, and communicate actionable plans with stakeholders
• Ensure collaboration across the school community for a united approach to student support
• Uphold a commitment to fulfill the assignment for the entire academic year
