Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU TEMP

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a temporary assignment in our Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to high-risk and critically ill newborns in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that upholds a culture of excellence, collaboration, and clinical expertise. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver a full range of respiratory therapies tailored to fragile neonatal patients. Manage and adjust ventilators, CPAP, high-flow oxygen devices, and other specialized respiratory support equipment in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based NICU protocols. Perform and interpret blood gases and other respiratory diagnostics, administer aerosolized medications and surfactant therapy, and closely monitor patients for subtle changes in respiratory status that require timely intervention. Actively participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations, respond to emergencies, and provide expert respiratory support in collaboration with neonatologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other disciplines. Ensure accurate, thorough documentation in the electronic medical record and clear, respectful communication with the healthcare team and families. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and strict adherence to infection-prevention and safety standards. Benefits Competitive pay.
