Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in a veterinary setting, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and veterinary terminology, along with hands‑on experience in animal handling and care while practicing fear‑free techniques. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinarian. Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia administration and catheter placement. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide education to pet owners on proper care and treatment plans. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment. Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology. Proficiency in animal catheterization and restraint techniques. Experience with dog handling and general pet care practices. Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
