Travel RRT - ICU - Respiratory Therapy

Travel Respiratory Therapist Company Fusion Medical Staffing, Facility in Tacoma, Washington Job Details A 13‑week travel assignment in Tacoma, Washington. One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required. Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood or sputum samples. Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate. Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC. Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations. One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Technical / Motor Skills Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements Work under pressure and meet deadlines with frequent contact with the general public and customers. Occasionally work under close supervision; also work independently when required. Sensory Requirements Possess visual acuity and the ability to effectively communicate.
