Job Responsibilities
  • Create Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' unique needs and formulate tailored therapy strategies that empower them to reach their functional objectives
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based practices to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and day-to-day activities
  • Work Collaboratively with Interdisciplinary Teams: Engage closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide all-encompassing, holistic care
  • Educate Patients and Their Families: Equip patients and caregivers with the knowledge of therapeutic techniques to facilitate continued improvement at home
  • Monitor Progress and Document Outcomes: Keep track of clinical developments and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring patients remain on track
Education
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Encouragement for ongoing education or postgraduate certifications
Certifications
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
