Mechanical Engineer - Plumbing

Summary:

We’re partnered with a multidisciplinary engineering firm looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineer focused on plumbing system design. This role sits within a growing MEP group supporting a mix of public and institutional projects.Seeking someone who enjoys the technical side of design and wants to continue developing toward a PE track in a stable, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm) for commercial and public projects
Prepare plans and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
Perform system sizing, calculations, and layout design
Coordinate with architects, civil teams, and other MEP disciplines
Assist with code compliance and permitting requirements
Support construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals, revisions)
Contribute to multiple projects at different stages of design

Qualifications:

3–8 years of experience in MEP or plumbing design
Strong background in plumbing systems design (not just HVAC-focused roles)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
Understanding of applicable plumbing codes and design standards
EIT or actively pursuing PE
Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment
Detail-oriented but able to keep projects moving
