Obtaining accurate benefits is the first step in financial process meaning accuracy is key as it determines patient responsibility and our ability to get reimbursed for services.Our team is comprised of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. We are looking for a candidate who is inspired by our mission and excited by the opportunity to build a business that will impact millions of lives in a profound way.ResponsibilitiesVerifies insurance policy benefits for new and returning patients with payersAssures all insurance information has been completely and accurately obtainedDocument all pertinent insurance information into SalesForceInforms teams of support actions necessary for insurance or referral issuesIdentifies special policy clauses per policy information to aid in financial and admission decisionsEducates patients, families and internal teams on insurance issuesIdentifies all third party financial benefits and directs them for financial counseling and revenue cycle as appropriateProvides support to admissions and revenue cycle teams as necessaryInvestigate escalated insurance billing inquiries and inaccuracies and take appropriate action to resolve the accountOther duties as assignedRequirements3-5 years related work experience in health care administrative, financial, insurance, customer services, claims, billing, call center, or managementKnowledge of medical billing practices, office policies and proceduresKnowledge of all confidentially requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such informationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical informationStrict attention to detailsWhat is your expected compensation?BenefitsCharlie Health is pleased to offer comprehensive benefits to all full-time, exempt employees.Please note that this role is not available to candidates in Alaska, Maine, Washington DC, New Jersey, California, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon, or Minnesota.Our ValuesConnection: Care deeply & inspire hope.Congruence: Stay curious & heed the evidence.Commitment: Act with urgency & don't give up.
