IT Support Specialist

IT Support Specialist Overview We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide frontline technical support for end users in a fast-paced environment. This role combines Level 1 and Level 2 support responsibilities, focusing on issue resolution, user assistance, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys learning new technologies and collaborating with team members across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for end-user hardware, software, and access-related issues.
* Troubleshoot and resolve password resets, account permissions, printer problems, network-connected device issues, and other technical concerns.
* Manage and respond to support tickets in accordance with established service expectations.
* Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting employees at all levels of the organization.
* Assist with workstation setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Document support activities, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps.
* Participate in IT projects and initiatives that support professional growth and expanded technical knowledge.
* Attend training sessions and stay current with evolving technologies and support procedures.
* Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership of customer communications.
Qualifications
* Experience providing desktop, technical, or help desk support in a professional environment.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across hardware, software, and user access issues.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to interact professionally and confidently with employees and leadership.
* Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve technical skills.
* Comfortable working in a hands-on support role with exposure to a variety of technologies and systems.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a ticket-driven environment.

*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsboro, IN.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
