Job Overview A law firm seeks a General Liability Associate Attorney in Woodbury, NY. This role offers the chance to work with experienced litigators on complex general liability defense cases. The position provides hands-on experience, client interaction, and mentorship in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Communicate with clients, providing strategic guidance and updates. Take and defend depositions; participate in mediations and negotiations. Engage in court appearances, inspections, and trial preparation. Handle general liability defense matters, including premises liability and construction accident cases. Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex litigation. Requirements JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials. Admission to practice in New York required. 1+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related fields. Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Education & Certifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Admission to practice in New York. Skills & Experience General liability defense litigation. Premises liability and construction accident litigation. Experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances. Experience working with insurance carriers and insured clients.
