Export Specialist II / Distributor Coordinator

Job Description Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Equivalent business-environment work experience may substitute for a degree. Preferred Education: BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent. Required Experience: 2+ years of export customer service, international customer service, distributor coordination, logistics coordination, or a closely related field. Bilingual in Spanish with the ability to communicate effectively with international customers and internal stakeholders. Experience managing customer orders, shipment status, ETAs, expedites, backorders, and delivery performance. Strong cross-functional coordination experience working with supply chain, logistics, regulatory, sales/service, or operations teams. Experience with forecasting, customer reporting, service-level metrics, and issue resolution, ideally in an automotive, parts, manufacturing, or international business environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with Business Objects/reporting experience beneficial. Strong customer-facing communication, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple distributors/projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience: International business experience. MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Business Objects reporting. Basic understanding of Honda/AHM Parts Business and Operations. Planning/organizing and communication skills.

Job Summary: The Export Specialist II / Distributor Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for assigned Honda export distributors and Genpos, supporting customer service, parts availability, on-time delivery, shipment integrity, and reduction of backorders and critical backorders. The role coordinates across Supply, Regulatory, Campaign and Service, IPC, Spec, logistics, and other internal teams; provides ETA and forecast information; manages export service levels and customer issues; supports quality claims, new-model activities and export logistics; and provides management reporting on key service initiatives.

Job Duties: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned export customers and distributors. Coordinate with internal departments to support orders, ETAs, expedites, regulatory requirements, and customer forecasts. Manage export service levels, backorders, and critical backorders. Support new-model parts availability and launch requirements. Conduct customer video conferences and distributor/Genpo visits. Prepare monthly reports, distributor summaries, and executive updates. Coordinate quality claims, inspections, returns, and exception freight. Work with part centers and ECS Logistics to ensure timely shipment processing. Manage the W37 forecasting program, including forecasts, performance tracking, CAPDo, and annual review. Support special projects and travel to key customers as needed.
