Job Title: Industrial Plant Mechanic – Frac Sand Operations

Location: Bainville, MT (Half-Hour Drive from Williston, ND)

Pay: $30–$40/hr. DOE

Schedule: Full-Time | Steady Overtime Available (typically 5–6 days/week | 12-hour shifts)

Asgard Resources is a rapidly growing frac sand processing company operating in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Since 2019, we have become a trusted supplier to oil and gas operations across the United States.

We are currently seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Industrial Plant Mechanic to help maintain and repair equipment at our frac sand processing facility.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can troubleshoot problems, respond quickly to breakdowns, and help keep plant operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and machinery

• Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, screens, bearings, hydraulics, and related systems

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime

• Replace worn or damaged components and make necessary adjustments

• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment

• Perform light welding and fabrication as needed

• Conduct routine safety inspections and maintenance checks

• Use hand tools, power tools, welders, meters, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

• Work closely with plant operations and management teams to support production goals

• Maintain compliance with MSHA safety standards and company policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous mechanic or maintenance experience in industrial, mining, aggregate, construction, agriculture, oilfield, or frac sand operations preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

• Experience with conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, motors, and processing equipment preferred

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor weather exposure, dust, noise, and temperature changes

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work extended hours when needed

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, call-ins, or rotating shifts as operational needs require

Additional Information

• MSHA experience is preferred but not required

• Individuals with their own tools and/or work truck may be compensated accordingly

• Training provided for the right candidate
