Make a difference as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive educational setting near Fort Walton Beach, FL. This on-site role is designed for dedicated professionals passionate about helping students thrive in their communication development. The assignment is full-time, spanning one academic year from August 11, 2026, to June 1, 2027, with placement at either Northwood Elementary or Southside Pre-K School in the Crestview area.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Florida Department of Health Provisional SLP License (required prior to start)
• Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
• Strong collaboration skills and adaptability
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Completion of required Florida school district fingerprinting and eligibility for a JLA badge within onboarding timelines

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with educational staff
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and services provided
• Engage with parents and teachers to support consistent strategies and progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team activities
• Serve as a resource for faculty regarding student communication needs
