Portfolio Accountant

Senior Accountant – Real Estate / REIT Focus

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong real estate accounting experience and exposure to REIT or multi-entity accounting environments. This role will support a growing real estate portfolio and work closely with property operations, asset management, and finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide reporting insights.
• Assist with consolidated reporting and accounting for REIT and corporate entities.
• Partner with property management and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support audits, cash management activities, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, property management, REIT, or multi-entity environments.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with property-level reporting and financial consolidations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Preferred

• Direct REIT accounting experience.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting software.
• CPA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
