The Staff Accountant is an integral member of a small team of 1-5 professionals, responsible for managing key accounting tasks with accuracy and reliability. This role supports internal financial reporting, maintains the general ledger, and ensures precise account reconciliation. The Staff Accountant handles accounts payable and receivable, manages month-end close activities, and prepares financial statements, primarily using the Sage ERP system. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of collaborating effectively within a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain internal financial reports
• Manage the general ledger and journal entries
• Perform accurate account reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Oversee month-end close activities including bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• Ensure data accuracy and support internal controls
• Collaborate effectively within a small team environment
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software (Sage)
• Experience in accounts reconciliation and financial reporting
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
